Hey you… cast B
ENJOY!!! enjoy every single moment, Im home now and its fun too… but Im now eating with my sister, sleeping alone in a bed I know, talking to people but they dont really care cause they already know everything about me, seeing some friends, but never more than 10 and I miss that group feeling and diversity. So guys, have fun!
Advise: make sure you communicate enough to help people understand you, your culture and background. (so funny, we people gave me advise 6 months ago, I was wondering why they cared so much about me and my experience and now Im doing exactly the same thing, giving advice and hoping youll make the best of this amazing opportunity.
So have fun!

Hey!
Thank you Charlotte for the advises! We’ll definitely have much fun and we’ll enjoy every single moment. My experiences with Cast C showed my, that we communicate a lot and we have already kind of trust in each other.
I’m so excited to travel with all of you guys!!! We will collect experinces for our whole life and I’m sure the following 5 month will be unique and wonderful.

Greeting from Canada! I travelled with Cast D 1979 - almost thirty years ago. I’m proud to say that our two children will have travelled with UWP - Tekla with UWP WorldSmart in 2004/05 and now Raine with Cast B 2007. Enjoy your experience Cast B and make the most of it. The things that you learn on the road will be with you for the rest of your life and not a day goes by that I do not think of someone or something that happened in my year in UWP. Good Morning!!
My name is Elizabeth Hansen and I am the Admissions Intern at UWP. I am working on a parent brochure and I need your help to finish the Parent to Parent contact section. The purpose of the Parent to Parent contact section is so future students’ parents have a parent resource contact in their local area to ask questions they have about their son and/or daughters upcoming experience.
I am in the process of collecting contact information of willing parents which will include their mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address. I hoped maybe some parents would be willing to be listed- or you may know of parents of former students that would be great contacts.
I am also working on another section in the parent brochure titled, From a Parents Point of View. This section will be comprised of quotes/statements from parents describing both their and their families experience with UWP! Any length of statement/quote would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Hello Cast B and guests. Every day i go home tired from staging, but i love this kind of tired. It’s the kind that reminds me that i am actually doing something that i really want to do its the kind of tired i cant get tiiired of! I hope the rest of you guys are enjoying this. I shall be living my first host family in just a few days and already i feel sad, they have touched me in a great way and i am going to carry them with me in my heart for the rest of my life. It was such an incredible pleasure meeting all of you in Tucson this weekend. Each one of you are such amazing individuals and I am blessed that Josh is among you all, learning and growing from your friendships. The show left me speechless. Hi Cast B ‘07!
I just returned to work from the Tucson reunion. What a blast! Thanks for all the extra work you put in for the show on Friday night (for those reading the blog - they made it an extra-special alumni show). It wa absolutely incredible, and we enjoyed every minute. I won’t try to offer any deep advice - I’ll only advise to label you pictures! I can’t remember where more than half of mine were taken!

I am an alumnus of Cast D92. I just attended my 15-year UWP reunion in Tucson and had the opportunity to see you perform at Centennial Hall. You blew us away with your energy and brought back so many wonderful memories! “Sound of Peace” was part of our show (Rhythm of the World) and your performance brought tears to my eyes.
I wish you all the best on your tour. Have fun, be open to new experiences, take photos, and ENJOY every minute of your time together. Before you know it, you will be attending your 15-year reunion! I so appreciated being able to be a host family in Globe, Az. This is my 2nd time to host, the 1st was in Phoenix in the early 70’s. Christine and Mallory was both a joy and Cindy, my dog, and I really enjoy them and the rest of the B cast we met. Good Luck with the rest of your time with the group..

I just heard yesterday that you wil lbe coming to Las Vegas at the end of the month when I recieved a phone call to see if I could be a host [ of course ! ] . This is a city like no other & I hope you all will have a wonderful experience here. I am trying to do some networking to line up some other host families. I am an alumni- and 38 long years ago at the tender age of 16 [UWP had a high school program then] I left my hometown of Syracuse, NY for a year that would stay with me forever. My best friend from that year is my best friend to this day. When we have cast reunions its as though we only saw each other yesterday. You will form a bond with each other this year that is hard to explain, Have a wonderful time & I look forward to meeting you all in a few weeks !

Vivala Gente!!!! I love Up with people. I knew about UWP 20 years ago when I was a memeber of a group founded by an ex UWP Member. We sang UWP songs and danced your music. We also visited a lot of towns in Venezuela with UWP, and met a lot of people. I was myself PR many times. My dream was to become one of UWP casts. It did not come true, but I still love it. You guys are very lucky to have such wonderful experience.

How are you all? I miss you guys a lot! For our guests reading this, I am doing advance work in Italy.
Italy has been interesting so far. It’s a very hard city to prepare but we are pouring our hearts into giving you the best stay in Italy that you can have! We have a couple of surprises for you all so far, and the way its looking, when we are all done and you arrive, you all will have the time of your lives! Milan is by far the most beautiful city i have ever been to, and the people here are beautiful as well. I look forward to seeing all of your excited faces.

…hey UWP (Cast b 2007)…it was a wunderful concert in Prenzlau (Germany)…You stayed here for at last three times
and I probably can say that your concert was as great as the two other concerts before. It was a real highligth for my hometown and I will remember it for a long long time.

its Iliana from cast c!! rite now we r in hartford conneticut and i miss u all so much! I know u all are doing amazing things as are we! next week if u guys can u should watch the macys thanksgiving day parade bc we r gonna rock! well its freezing over here rite now but not everyone in the cast is complaining! we r all doing good and on behalf of cast c we wanna say that we miss u all and we love u all! keep up the awsome job and im sure i will see some of u at the rosebowl!

Hey Cast B!
I’ve been spending a cold snowy day on the internet, reading all about your travels and remembering the good days of Up with People, Alum, Cast A 1999, I actually travelled with Scott E (HI SCOTT!!). Life after UWP is wonderful but nothing will replace the experience of life on the road, soak in the moments!! I still listen to “Roads” almost daily to remind me what life is really about! Enjoy

HI everyone,
hehe. I had never heared anything about up with people. of course after the show my family told me about it.. Well thanks but it was too late because i allready enjoyed the show. I think UWP is an once in a lifetime chance. Since we’ve been to the show, i kept thinking about sharing this experience.. Maybe some of you can tell me all about it :D.. But Okay, I’ll leave now.. Its getting bored 
First of all, i’m just a girl who’s very interested in UWP, so nobody special

Hey Cast B! Only one week left on the road - the time has passed incredibly fast for us here at home but I can only imagine how fast it must have gone for you. I know from my own UWP experience that the things that you have learned will be part of who you are and what you do for the rest of your life–and that life will be fantastic because of what you have learned! Don’t be too sad when you leave your castmates– when you see them again at reunion or some time in the future it will be like you have never been apart. This too I know is true because it doesn’t matter when or where I meet another of my castmates, it seems like it was only yesterday that we were together. It is part of the UWP magic. Raine - we are looking forward to seeing your smiling face. We have missed you terribly but know that this experience will be one of your most precious. on behalf of the Alumni Assocation thanks to all of you for having kept us connected to your Up with People experience through this site and your personal blogs! It’s been absolutely amazing to read your stories. And I personally feel fortunate I got a first hand impression while visiting with you in my hometown Zell.
The upcoming goodbyes are difficult to say - and at the same time it’s the start to truly living the Up with People spirit in your everyday’s lives back home. We are thrilled Cast B is now joining the alumni network!

I noticed there is a young lady in your cast with the last name of Alabado. I traveled in ‘75-’76 with a Humberto Alabado, also from Tucson. Any relation?
If so, I would love to know what Humberto is up to.

I´m looking for somebody from Up with People that went to Oviedo (North os Spain)in the 1979. Now I´m living in Oaxaca (Mexico) but I will love find people from this groop.In that time I was acceppted to join the gruop but finally I coulden´t because I came to Mexico.
